New Moon New Year Reset Workshop — Part II
Planting the Seed for the Year Ahead
This 2.5 hour New Moon gathering is an intentional space for listening, remembering, and planting what is ready to grow. Rather than rushing toward goals or resolutions, this workshop invites a slower, more rooted approach to intention, guided by the wisdom of sankalpa and the natural rhythm of the seasons.
In the yogic tradition, sankalpa is understood as a sacred inner resolve or vow that arises from one’s deepest truth rather than the thinking mind. It is not a goal to achieve, but a remembrance of what is already true at the core of who you are. This gathering offers space to gently sense what that vow may be, and how it can be tended throughout the year ahead.
Held under the New Moon, we begin in winter as a season of seed planting, stillness, and essence. From this grounded starting point, we look ahead to spring, summer, fall, and winter as distinct energetic phases that support how intention is lived, expressed, refined, and integrated over time. Manifestation is approached not as force or urgency, but as relationship, rhythm, and embodied alignment.
This gathering is well suited for those seeking a grounded, reflective approach to intention, especially for anyone feeling resistant to traditional goal setting or New Year pressure.
This workshop is facilitated by Drew, holding a grounded, trauma informed container that weaves together yogic philosophy, seasonal wisdom, creative inquiry, and somatic practice.
What we will explore and experience together
• Gentle guided movement and breath to arrive in the body and settle the nervous system
• Teaching and reflection on sankalpa as a sacred vow, distinct from goal setting or resolution making
• Seasonal inquiry into winter, spring, summer, and fall as living phases of intention rather than a linear timeline
• A creative art practice to symbolically map the year through essence, quality, and inner orientation rather than outcome (no art experience required)
• A live sound bath with Michele Spencer, supporting integration, nervous system regulation, and deep listening
• A closing Yoga Nidra practice drawing on the concept of Hiranyagarbha, offering a receptive state to rest the sankalpa beneath conscious effort
About the series
This workshop is the second gathering in a two part New Year Reset series.
The first gathering, held under the Full Moon, focused on release, reflection, and preparing the inner ground. This New Moon gathering shifts toward intention, embodiment, and forward movement, while remaining rooted in seasonal and cyclical wisdom rather than the Gregorian calendar.
Together, the two gatherings form a complete arc: releasing what no longer serves, tending the soil, and planting a vow that can be lived and revisited throughout the year.
You are welcome to attend either gathering and are not required to attend both.
